Alright, for those of us who did not get the chance to be part of the first wave of beta testers for FFXIV, fear not! Our friends over at FFXIClopedia and Zam have been given a limited number of beta keys to hand out to their members. Better hurry and get your tickets though, cause you’ve only got till March 7th to sign up!

It’s only for FFXI fansites, looks like, since it’s through ffxiclopedia (not eorzeapedia) and ZAM’s ffxi branch. Also both require an active ffxi subscription.
That’s why Core didn’t get any probably, they are a FFXIV premier site. This just proves that SE is scouting FFXI players right now.
That’s likely true, but eventually they’ll come around to the new XIV exclusive sites like ourselves. =D

Do you get double the chance or does it cancel out your submission like with the original application >.>
Just so everyone is clear: there are NO current XIV premier sites. Not even Core is a premier site, yet. I am sure these will be made official at a later date.
Yea this all seems like they wanna just pick beta tester out of the ffxi playerbase. I mean ya, we are required to put in a POL ID in, but then anyone could just sign one up (those 14 day trial stuff) and put one in.
Also, its only a 3 day opening window, so unless you still play ffxi, you probably wouldn’t have caught this news, hence probably the people they aren’t looking for
