Wow you guys are organized! Hopefully they allow a lot of ‘leaks’ so you can post lots of screenshots. I’m not sure what the whole “do you have a fan site” question was about… is that supposed to hurt or help your chances?
Yea, well I think about it as… they’d probably want “free marketing”. As we all know, word of mouth is a lot better so I guess any kind of stuff is consider okay. Though I think they’d probably also wanna use this chance to really test their game, so other parts of your apps helps too, such as having some people with bloody good system, some with a barely playable PC (like mines >.>).
Eg. Do you work for the game industry? (Maybe they are better in reporting bugs?)

Well, either they asked about the sites so they can keep watch over them for any “leaks” of information and whatnot. NDA’s are serious business, we all know that for a fact. =D
Also, for those of you who haven’t signed up yet. Keep in mind that the selection process is random & is not based upon the time of your entry. Also, do NOT apply more than once otherwise you’ll invalidate all of your entries. Don’t want to give up your chance to get in now do you?
Lastly, for the PS3 version, the NA beta is still pending at this point, however if you’re lucky enough to get a jp version of FFXIII the “campaign code” is a entry to the jp FFXIV PS3 beta.

I’m curious, how much time did everyone say they would devote to playing the beta?
12-24 hours a week is pretty much the max time I could provide, personally.
24+ a week is reasonable.
I put 12-24 hours a week as well. Thats likely the absolute max we’d get anyway. Servers aren’t up all the time, or even every day, in beta testing.
Wow, I am only able to commit to 7h/week at the most.
I put 48-72 hours. Which is admittedly more than I can probably commit to as a full time college student with a part time job. But I think if i get the chance to play, sleep hours will then take the absolute lowest priority.
I just signed up for PS3… Still kicking myself, but the PC just can’t take it; old girl has seen better days she has. See you soon I suppose. Someone test a ranger out… I’ll be checking back. =)
I posted over 72 hours… I’m such a fangirl. I also considered putting “IT’S OVER 9000!!!” for my enthusiasm level, but stuck with 80 instead.

Man I hope I get in. Was I the only one that saw the screenshots of the field leading to a cliff side and instantly thought of the path in West Sarutabaruta past the Horutoto ruins just right out side town that leads to the ocean side cliff? I swear I think it tinkled my pants alittle like a chiwawa when it gets excited.
Ahhh memories…. mandi’s…yags. When I first started FFXI I walked up to a yag and thought he was an NPC. He was just standing there. Lucky for him while I was running for my life I also angered a crawler. Cause obviously I posed a great threat to him with my Onion cane and he needed back up. I told my LS and for awhile I became known as dances with yags.
God I hate yags.

OMG! I am so excited about this! I am praying I get picked! I played FFXI for four years and had to quit when I became a mom. God, it would be great to jump back into the scene with a fresh start! *Crossing my fingers*

This feels slithgly odd to ask but for some reason it bugs me. I read thru most of the terms of service agreement stuff but enough is enough you know. Anyways, anything special I should be thinking of? I mean, cept for enjoying the game and report bugs? I read some stuff about “being responsible for expenses” and it caught my attention least to say. I mean, should I brace myself for possible bills of some sort?
yea i cant wait! this whole game looks and sounds amazing. i’m probably gonna but at least 8/hours a day in to it. its been a long time since i’ve been this excited over a mmorpg
