Now for those that didn’t know. People that went to the VanaFest 2010 actually got FREE keys (lol FF14Core! Beta-Key Scam). For those that didn’t go, well they are going to pick from the randomized pool on March 1st. So lets all cross our finger and gets picked. Just don’t be too busy playing FFXI due to the various exciting changes they are introducing into FFXI, turning it into FFXI-X2! (Catch the pun? lol)

Man that makes me wish that I went to vanafest T.T and the new ffxi changes look pretty epic. If they keep new content coming to xi I might not leave… I would play both! XD

Oh, on a side note.. If they are going to start sending the emails out “March 1,” well it is 7am on March 1 right now in Japan. So I’m not sure if they will go by that date, or if they will wait until it’s March 1 everywhere.

Got into StarCraft II Beta without apparently even ever signing up for it. Let’s hope I have this kind of sheer dumb luck for the FFXIV Beta too…. *looks to the heavens*

I have been waiting for this moment since the huge FFXIV presentation I saw at the Gamescom last year.
Now I just received the mail that I have been accepted as alpha tester.
I hope to see lots of you ingame. My main char is always a healer so hook me up for partying.

@Hifana, don’t worry, even if you don’t get in now, there will still be plenty of chances to get into beta down the road. SE has already stated that they will attempt to get everyone in who signed up at some point. Whether it’s now for the lucky few, or later on as the beta progresses into closed then open beta, you’ll get your chance. Have faith my friend!

So, can anyone confirm if received the beta key via e-mail or not?

The email came Monday and from what I’ve seen, only Monday. In the email they guarantee that when Alpha is finished that we will be included in all the following Beta tests. Gorocry INDEED.

You know, I find it disgusting though that people on certain blogs (*hint* ringthree and company) are already boasting that they’re going to walk all over the NDA like it’s so much paper waste. Remember folks, when you signed up for the beta, you in effect signed a legal, binding document. Yes, I’d love to be able to give people a glance into the world, but I’ll do so within the rules given to us as beta testers.
all that extra work to help the game work beter just makes it more fun… to be part of it would be soo cool…why waste it on something like that…
us beta testers.. you make it sound like you are some kind of a pro… anyways i know this is old post by now.. but yeah SE is gona let all current FFXI players in first i suppose. and then maybe the rest of us who played it for 5years straight. oh and who bought FFXIII did i mention who also signed up with the Key they gave inside ffxIII? yeah well all that and i bet i still wont get in until OB. SE and i have always had this hate/hate relation. sad thing is i still love playing their games
