SE said they wanted a closed beta period with just a few people before they have a grand open beta. So even if you don’t make it into the closed we all should be able to get into the open when it comes out a few months from the start of the closed beta.

I’m glad the beta isn’t active when purchasing the game, because i may not end up playing XIII for a while if i could just hop on to that beta :O
