  • Episode 1: The Miqo'te Menace MNN


    Hello newcomers/new listeners, my name is Asanna, I've been recently recruited by FFXIV blog to host my news cast. It's nothing like a normal podcast, in fact, we're going through tons of changes.
    • The first change was to get a new writer, that can be crossed off the list!
    • Then our second one, was to work out the voices, that's also checked off!
    • All that's left to do, is get more information to add the "extras" area!
    So be on the lookout for all our changes! I'm so glad to have everything worked out, and to be apart of all these sites.

I LOOK for, no... I NEED feedback. About music, sounds, voices, information, there's a questions area for a reason! =D. I also need to talk to linkshell leaders! So, if you're in a linkshell, on any server, please get your LS leader to e-mail me at that link above, so that I can add them into the next part of the upgrade on the news cast!

      It was great! I lol'd right from the begining. Was short, but I want more.

      lol Good Show, I have to agree was to short, will be here waiting for more.
      Now to answer your questions: I'm just Ok (waiting on PS3 version ;( ). I would have to say become fulltime on FFXIVBlog because this is where I found you, lol first time hearing your show :p. I would like to know what FFXIV players are doing to make things fun for themselves, such as crafting blitzes (where large groups just blitz threw crafts and help each other do it) or Role Playing, maybe even just large bans of lalafells trying to dominate the world. Just a few of the good memories I have from my many years of FFXI. Will be looking forward to hearing your next show.

      If it wasn't for the music at the beginning or the mention of FFXIVblog, I may have never known this was a FFXIV cast :/ maybe try to mention more game elements throughout the show instead of referencing real world events like Halloween.
      Hardest part for a cast is always starting up, now that you're running you just gotta fine tune the beast :) keep it up!

      @Arconis Aww I know how that is, I have a few guild mates who're waiting on it too. I'm usually not on this site haha, but I can be found a lot at Fantaji if you ever need me =). Once the changes are put into play there will be way more information

      @fusion If you read the full intro before everything you would know that this was not intended to be a FFXIV blog thingy. It was made to be a funny news cast, but was recruited due to the (upcoming) information for FFXIV later one. (mentioned in one of the changes)

      For those of you just joining in, If you know any guild leaders on any server (as part of one of the new updates) please have them contact me at katari1260@gmail.com That way i can include a "Linkshell Shminkshell" area for all the LS news. When I say there are changes, i don't mean "yeah, lets change up the voices" I mean HUGE changes, like making it more FFXIV based (since it wasn't meant to be in the beginning) and to make it longer =)

      Please adjust the sound levels equally... it was horrible for me cuz I had my headphone on.. ex. between switching to girl's voice.. it was seriously killing my ears XD .. the female voice is so pitched.

      oh hey... add some background music will help.

      =o well i can't really change just her voice, because then everyone elses goes down and i'm not a DJ master, but i'll try and take my mouth away from the mic when making hers so girly.

      I love the idea, really dig the humor and the voices.

      To answer you question - for me, I think I would like to see brief community/XIV news. Some kind of GeekBeat.TV but for FFXIV.

      On Fantaji there are a lot of people browsing the site from work kind of day-dreaming they could play right now. I think a short podcast with community news that keeps them in-the-know of everything XIV would be great. Something short but packed with content.

      You could cover the main discussion topics on popular community sites, lodestone announcements, special achievements from players, etc. Could have some skype interview with players too, etc.

      Would be nice to have it at least bi-weekly on a regular schedule. Have it on iTunes so people can subscribe too :)

      Anyways, Coco I would do a short "news" thing from sites, but there are already like 4 pod casts out there who do that. I wanna try and keep it different. I dunno how to put it on itunes, if someone wants to help i'll be glad to do it =). i'm thinking of doing it on Monday, and again on Thursday haha, still need to make all those changes, tons of work to do!

      But, I will be doing a "today in FFXIV" type section, and then a "note from a LS Leader" area, with a couple more, so be on the lookout for those at least.

      Mondays and fridays. One to help start the week and one to help end the week and start the weekend. :) That also gives you enough time in between episodes.
