• Open Beta Test Postponed



    Two new messages from the FFXIV twitter were posted today, informing followers that the Open Beta Test is postponed because of bugs:

    <div style="padding:15px; margin:7px 15px; border:1px solid #b3a38c;background:#f3efe8">Because of critical bugs, FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test, which is scheduled to begin on Sept. 1, 2010 at 02:00 (GMT), will be postponed.</div>

    <div style="padding:15px; margin:7px 15px; border:1px solid #b3a38c;background:#f3efe8">New schedule will be released at a later date. See here for more details. http://entry.ffxiv.com/</div>

    The link given leads to the Open Beta application site, which gives a little more detail about the situation.

    FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test, which is scheduled to begin at 19:00 (PDT) on Aug. 31, 2010, will be postponed due to a confirmation of critical bugs. New schedule will be releaseｄ at a later date.

    Along with the postponement of FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test, the issuing of registration code for FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test will be postponed as well. With the download of client software's installer, it will be suspended at 19:00 (PDT) on Aug. 31, 2010.

    We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.</div>
    We'll keep you updated about the new schedule when it's released.

      yeah that sucks... Guess there's nothing left for me to do but drown myself in Valkyira 2 :x (oh and dragon*con... well crap that means they're not going to show off the game during the new MMO panel :/)

      This sucks balls :( well its 2am for me, its time to sleep and Im sure SE employees are doing that as well.

      Hummm...

      "Bugs" might mean their tuning or out-right removing the fatique system with something else. At this stage of the game though, it's doubtful.

      :/ before I went to bed i saw the news on beta I was a little disappointed. I wonder though what the critical bugs are.

      given they didnt notice it existed until they released it AND put out an update patch.. I think it probably has something to do with the update patch breaking something important.
