Got up this morning to find an e-mail in my inbox titled "An Important Announcement for FINAL FANTASY XIV Fans". I opened it quickly as I imagined that it would reveal the date of the anticipated mid-December update, (since mid-December is nearly upon us.)
What I found instead was an announcement that they have released on Lodestone this morning.

A changing of the guard has taken place, and a new Producer/Director has been put in to replace one Hiromichi Tanaka. Beyond that, they have changed multiple members of their leadership team in the hope of gaining progress in a more timely fashion.

They further announced that the free trial period has been extended indefinitely until they feel that the game is where it should be. (woot.. Merry ...

So, many of you have come up to me in game to give me congratulations as well as thank you's for my initial blog post. I want to return that with a public thank you all for accepting me and my words. Normally my thoughts are shunned or turned away, told I'm too harsh and unaccepting as well as judgemental. So thank you all for having the open mind and courage to agree with me.

This past week has been very rough irl so I apologize for the latency(lol) of my 2nd post. Never the less, a new chapter has begun. The Heart family decided it was time to make me do exactly what I didn't want to do, Create a shell. I did it on a spur of the moment one night while having a chat with Ryokai Ashfield, Yuki Heart, and I had also previously spoken with Xariana about the stigma ...

Hellooo FFXIVBlog readers and members! Introductions suck! So much pressure, especially with a first post and all. My name obviously is Wicked Heart, and I reside on the Lindblum server. I enjoy long walks through the Northern Forest and shopping in the Wards of Gridania. I also spend a lot of time on Fantaji.com being the social Lala I am. Outside of XIV, I game a lot...PSP, DS, Steam games, MS Live Games...I do have a list of every game I own...it's well over 200. I'm experienced, do not worry!

In the world today there are many bloggers, many gamers, many a-holes who swear their word is law. I personally fall into the minority pile of 'Ambitious gamer with social tendencies' I guess. As a veteran XI player, as well as many other MMO's and games, I'm the girl who ...

So open beta is finally over. It was a great experience for me during the times I was actually able to sit down to play. For a long time, I had no choice but to just sit idly by and watch others play in the closed beta. When I finally did get my chance to experience the game first hand in Open Beta, I was impressed with how beautiful the game was, and it was great watching the game improve with every update as time went on.

A lot of things have happened over the past few months. With the controversy of the Fatigue System and the perplexing ramblings of people screaming "Copypasta" over the fact that the terrain in FFXIV was repeated in places, you kinda had to wonder just how much of the community was composed of silly babies. Quite a few it turned out. The ...

With the announcement of an official release date for Final Fantasy XIV set for September 30, 2010 (PC users only), some were surprised that its pricing plan has already been announced at $12.99 monthly, $3 for additional characters, and $1 for use of a second or more retainer (the first is free). Some see it as justified since the usage of retainers allows one to sell their wares when they are not logged onto FFXIV, and can be seen as an additional feature to be purchased for the sake of desiring such a premium. For the premium price of $3 for extra characters, however, it can almost seem baffling to players of other MMOs who are used to paying a higher flat rate of about $15 per month for the creation of a set amount of characters per realm/server or account. ...
