    We know you have questions about FFXIV, and sometimes asking that question on a forum can be intimidating especially if you aren't a frequent poster. That is why we are introducing Call For Help! The title is a <i>work in progress</i> and may change by the time we get to the retail release version. At the moment the CFH will be at least once a month, but will move to a weekly feature when either more information is released or by the time we get to the retail version and are actually able to dig our hands into the game itself.

    The CFH will be headed by the only cat keeping the Taru here in check and in running order: Xariana formerly of the Fenrir server! So if you have a question that you want answered about FFXIV, don't hesitate to e-mail your call for help to Xariana at: xariana@ffxivblog.com!

    Gear Up - FFXIV Hardware Without Breaking the Bank

    Hello again everyone, today we're going to talk about a subject very near and dear to my heart, and that's how to gear up to play Final Fantasy XIV without completely destroying your bank account. When I first started playing the original alpha version of XIV, I had high hopes that a decent mid-range system we had access to (an AMD Phenom II x4 from Gateway) would be able to run the game relatively well. Sadly, it didn't all turn out that way as the game ran at around a dismal 4-5 FPS. Yeah, I blame on build-in video (don't believe the lies when they say it's a ATI HD 4850 with up to 2gb). Between the computer being a roommates & having problems of it's own, money, revolting Lalafells and other what nots, it's not been easy getting a shot at the game. ...
