I dragged my wife (almost kicking and screaming) into the world of XI... by that point, I had been a longtime player, just hadn't been able to find a way to get her into it. I finally suceeded thanks to a unlikely ally; worms. she loves to kill them. any job 1-12 I only had to follow as she killed worms outside sandy for hours on end. lol. For my sake, I hope they appear in XIV.... lol. Ultimately, it's still her first "real" gaming experience ever, she think's ps1 frogger counts as real gaming, but I digress.... she prefer's playing on the PS3, so it will be hard to hold my character back until she gets in world, but it's so worth it to have someone to play with, it makes the immersion that much better. Keeps it close to reality as well, cause the minute she has no clue what she's doing she starts yelling at me....

From what i've seen of (mostly) NDA violations, it does have a XI feel to it. Being a longtime player of XI, I welcome that. While I no longer play, i've heard of all the updates they've been bringing to the game, cap raise, ease of travel, and many other tweaks. I think the release date is fine, for as much of a new MMO it is, it's a old one too. They have have years perfecting the basics, i'm sure we wont see any of the same bugs they had in XI. They "pre-tested" many idea's in XI, thus affording themselves a quicker development of XIV.

I disagree about this.

The most critical aspect of a LS is fun, not leaders or rules. Structure and control is NOT fun. I'm a member of TwoPaths LS from Caitsith, it has no leader, it has only one rule (that is don't piss people off), it has no point system for drops, and it has no actual planed events, or any kind of schedule we just do "something" on weekends. Being a long time player I would say this shell has less drama than most end game shells, most times there is none at all.

So do we accomplish anything? We don't keep very good numbers but for Sky accounting in 2009 TwoPaths LS bank spent 4 million a month in abjurations for it's members (48 million dollars a year).

I believe this works because a lot of people seem to hate typical endgame shells so they gravitate to us. We make fun of shells that have "mandatory attendance policies" and "hundreds of rules".. because it's a video game, not your job. :)

Im Pretty sure that you can run the game without an i7. I mean Crysis 2 is the only game I would expect in the near future to have a required processor like that. The demo seems to look fine on other peoples rig that don't have it, I'm sure if you have atleast a core2duo you can run it flawlessly, depending on your graphics card, all on high.
